As you may have read before, a portion of all our sales will be donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital. Phoenix Children's is one of the very best rated pediatric hospitals in the United States. It is home to one of the largest and most comprehensive neurological programs for children in the country, as well as level 1 trauma units, cancer treatment centers, and a variety of other specialties. Every year, countless families depend on this place to help their little ones. In 2014, my family became one of them.
My son, who was only 5 years old at the time, had been diagnosed with Autism and Epilepsy. I had nowhere to turn, and no doctor had answers for me until we found Phoenix Children's Hospital. They gave me a community of new friends and resources. They gave us hope in our storm.
Now all these years later, it is time to give back to the place that changed our lives for the better by spreading awareness about various childhood illnesses and disorders, and by making financial contributions to the hospital so that more families can be given the same hope that we were given.
I believe in the miracles happening at Phoenix Children's because I have seen them with my own eyes.
This shop is also a way for me to provide an income for my family while often staying at home to care for my son. Babysitters and daycare services for a disabled child are often difficult to find or non existent. I am so happy to be given the opportunity to work from home, or to take my work with me to our various doctors appointments and visits.
The products here are inspired by children like my son, and you will see as we add more that they follow a theme of awareness.
Our little lamb wears Autism patterned bows, and is available in many different colors to represent the diversity of the spectrum. We are planning a new Rainbow collection, to celebrate babies given after a loss. We also are planning a Purple line to represent Epilepsy awareness, and a gold one as well, for childhood cancer awareness.
Thank you for reading our story! It is one of hope and faith in a time of storms and rain. After all, rain makes flowers grow, and it is true as Laura Story is quoted to say that "Blessings come through raindrops"
